Life is an echo. What you send out comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give, you get. What you see in others, exists in you.

Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.

Many people say, "When I get a million dollars, then I'll be happy because I'll have security," but that's not necessarily so. Most people who acquire a million dollars want another and then another. Or they could be like a good friend of mine who made and lost every dime of a million dollars. It didn't bother him a bit. He wasn't excited about it, but he explained to me, "Zig, I still know everything necessary to make another million dollars, and I've learned what to do not to lost it. I'll simply go back to work and earn it again.

The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want right now.

Staying Up, Up, Up in a Down, Down World
On rare occasions we hear about people who seem to be overnight successes. Actually, the "overnight" success is rare, and it certainly didn't happen in my life. My dream to become a speaker was born in 1952 after I heard speaker Bob Bale from Phoenix, Arizona. He had a lot of fun, did a tremendous amount of good and, I thought, made lots of money. All those things appealed to me. For the next thirteen years I spoke for anyone who would permit me to speak. I spoke to people in service clubs, schools, churches, prisons, drug rehab centers, automobile dealerships, and more. I literally drove hundreds of miles, at my expense, to speak to small groups. My fee? The opportunity to speak and improve my presentation skills. Money seldom changed hands. I did it because I believed I had something of value to say. However, I understood that in order to be paid for saying it, I had to learn how to say it in such a way that the audience would be willing to hear the message and act on the message.

Over the Top: Moving from Survival to Stability, from Stability to Success, from Success to Significance
The best recipe for happiness and contentment I've seen is this: dig a big hole in the garden of your thoughts and put into it all your disillusions, disappointments, regrets, worries, troubles, doubts, and fears. Cover well with the earth of fruitfulness. Water it from the well of contentment. Sow on top the seeds of hope, courage, strength, patience, and love. Then when the time for gathering comes, may your harvest be a rich and fruitful one.

Secrets of the Closing Sale
Many times Christians state their love for the Lord and their willingness to die for Him. I will make no pretense of knowing the Lord's will in your life, but I do feel that in most cases the Lord is far more interested in our living for Him than He is in our dying for Him.

All you need to find and accomplish God's purpose in your life is God's permission and approval--not anyone else's. When you get in step with Him, there will be a glow on your face that will make people wonder what you're up to.

Better Than Good
Nothing is more inspiring than a person with seemingly mediocre talent rising against the odds to become a champion by way of hard work, effort, and perseverance toward their goals.

I get lots of ideas when the lights go out at night and it gets very quiet. Sometimes they come when I first lie down to sleep; other times I wake up with an idea racing through my mind. But regardless of when an idea comes, I have made it a habit to get out of bed and write the idea down before it disappears into my dreams. You should do the same.

I win not because of my own efforts or my own goodness, but rather through the grace, love, and mercy of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He died so that I might win this game of life and live with Him forever.
